When you feel disappointed, devastated..

This semester I don't have to attend any classes anymore, just need to finish my master thesis. Yeah, finally, this semester will be my last semester in NTNU. It's kinda hard for me to start this semester because the starting point was messed up.

I thought I will be happy after my winter vacation last year. I met someone that I really want to see, we've been in contact for almost a semester, but then after we met each other I realized we were totally different from each other. And, suddenly everything turned the other way. 

I lost my spirit and felt empty. I wasn't strong enough to face the reality. 

So, some tips to dealing with this kind of situation. (*It works for me)

1. Try to accept everything happen in our life. 
    Always control our reaction towards problems. When something goes wrong, or when we couldn't get what we want, people's feeling and how they treat us, are things that we can not control, so, the only thing we could do is just to accept the reality. Believed that everything happen for a GOOD reason. 

2. Set the duration of "the bad time"    
    To feel sad, disappointed, devastated, annoyed, angry, or whatever you name it, is normal, but when to recover, it's our self who decide. So, just set the duration of being sad, don't prolonged your sadness curve :p For me, I would like to recover as soon as possible, I set 3 days, which was too long, then I changed into 1 day. 

3. Talk to God
    When I have problem, I try to find someone to talk to, to relief my sorrow, haha, well, someone might help you a little bit, they can listen, cheer you up, and give comments, but, even you tell thousand people about your problems, none of them can take your burden away. It is God, who can do it. So, always, tell Him, it's okay to tell Him whatever you feel, weak, depressed, disappointed, can't breath, feel stones hitting your chest, we should remember, God always listen and answer to our prayers. 

4. Don't try to find happiness.  
    We couldn't find happiness. Happiness is a gift from God, it's just the same as a sad feeling God gives us. So, to be happy, ask Him, God has His own way, we don't know where the happiness is, when and how the happiness will come, and what makes you happy. Ask, beg Him. 

5. Make yourself busy
    It was my sister who said so. If you still think about your problems, then you're not busy enough. Go do something, make yourself busy instead of daydreaming. Move your ass!!! =D 

6. Forgive and Forget
   I started blaming myself. I called myself troublemaker. Problems happen for many reasons, it's not always us or they who did wrong, it could be both side or something else. Stop blaming yourself! Just forgive yourself and forgive other as well, don't regret what you've done. Someday, there will be a person who can accept us as what we are and also believed that we could change, to be better than before.

7. Get up, up, up, and up again
    It's not easy to get rid off sad feeling, especially for me :p Everytime you fall down, just try to get up, up, up, and up again. Back to number 1 and so on. Struggling for something worth, don't wasting time and energy by feeling sad. Positive attitudes gives positive results.


Problems never ends. Don't let problems dominating your mind. Pass this level, then get ready for the next one. :)
